When radius is fixed, the two angular coordinates make a coordinate system on the sphere sometimes called spherical polar coordinates. In mathematics, a spherical coordinate system is a coordinate system for three-dimensional space where the position of a point is specified by three numbers: the radial distance of that point from a fixed origin its polar angle measured from a fixed polar axis or zenith direction and the azimuthal angle of its orthogonal projection on a reference plane that passes through the origin and is orthogonal to the fixed axis, measured from another fixed reference direction on that plane. A globe showing the radial distance, polar angle and azimuthal angle of a point P with respect to a unit sphere, in the mathematics convention. As in physics, ρ ( rho) is often used instead of r, to avoid confusion with the value r in cylindrical and 2D polar coordinates. The meanings of θ and φ have been swapped compared to the physics convention. Spherical coordinates ( r, θ, φ) as often used in mathematics: radial distance r, azimuthal angle θ, and polar angle φ. This is the convention followed in this article. 3-dimensional coordinate system Spherical coordinates ( r, θ, φ) as commonly used in physics ( ISO 80000-2:2019 convention): radial distance r ( slant distance to origin), polar angle θ ( theta) (angle with respect to positive polar axis), and azimuthal angle φ ( phi) (angle of rotation from the initial meridian plane). ![]()

Transmission Fluid Change Discussion in Clarity started by Robbiemo, Oct 30, 2019. With manual transmissions, the oil is a gold colour but the same principle applies in that the darker the oil the more likely it needs replacing.Īutomatic transmission fluid replacements generally involve draining the oil, removing the transmission pan, replacing the filter (if required) and pan gasket, refilling the transmission initially and then running the transmission through the gears and then rechecking the levels, some manufacturers differ from this process so its best to check with your local workshop. There are also some manufactures that require little to no servicing of the transmission throughout the life of the vehicle. In this case, it's better to let someone qualified check it out as it could involve a lengthier process. Our Automatic Transmission Fluid Exchange Service provides a thorough transmission fluid. Researchers continue to work on learning the cause of narcolepsy.Ĭurrently, many researchers believe that the following causes are possible: For example, a person may have excessive daytime sleepiness if they’ve had a head injury or are taking certain medications.Ĭataplexy may also sometimes be confused with drop attacks or seizures from epilepsy. The symptoms of narcolepsy can overlap with other conditions. They may also put things in drawers where they don’t belong and write illegibly. If sleep episodes are very brief, people may continue doing habitual activities, such as brushing teeth or driving. They may experience vivid dreams, sleep apnea, insomnia, or movements while sleeping, such as acting out and leg movements. People with narcolepsy may also have trouble falling and staying asleep at night. It’s often triggered by strong emotions (laughter, anger, fear, excitement, etc.). Unlike sleep paralysis, cataplexy happens when a person is fully awake. This may be subtle, with the loss of some of the muscle tone in the the face or hand, or it may affect many muscle groups and result in the person falling to the ground. This symptom, which not all people with narcolepsy experience, involves a sudden loss of muscle tone. Usually, hallucinations are visual, but they may also involve touch, smell, and other senses. Some people may experience vivid and sometimes disturbing dream-like images either when falling asleep or waking up. Some people with narcolepsy have this symptom frequently, some not at all. As a person awakens from REM sleep, there may be a few seconds to minutes when they’re unable to speak or move their body. People with narcolepsy may quickly slip into REM sleep cycles even during the day. REM is a state of sleep during which the eyes move rapidly. People may also experience sleep attacks. In an investigation, heart rate, frequency of changes from a time-frequency analysis of heart-rate variability (HRV), and amplitude were compared with the continuous self-rated hypnotic depth (SRHD) of 10 volunteers. Higher power over the alpha, beta, and theta parietal region associated with sustained-attentional processing and greater EEG asymmetry was seen in the highly hypnotizable subjects. Įlectro-encephalogram (EEG) is a candidate for monitoring neural activity. Hypnotic susceptibility, a stationary characteristic of a subject, is distinct from hypnotic depth, which is a dynamic property that represents the subject’s momentary capacity for response to hypnotic suggestions. This chapter will review the traditional and conventional approaches used in hypnosis, their advantages and disadvantages as well as where hypnosis is used as a complementary or alternative therapy to the modern day orthodox medicine.ġ.1 Heart-rate variability as a measure of hypnotic depthĮnsuring sufficient depth to induce genuine hypnotic responsiveness is one of the major challenges in hypnotic research. However, some clinical practitioners themselves have contributed to further exacerbate this denigrative image of hypnosis. The individuals hypnotized appear to apparently behave in ways that are contrary to normal behavior or out of character. Volunteers from the audience act out of fantasies to make the audience laugh from the hypnotist’s simple commands for sleep and snaps of the fingers. Hypnosis is introduced to others as a form of entertainment on television talk shows or at comedy clubs. For these reasons, witch doctors, evil scientists, space aliens, and vampires have all been portrayed as using hypnosis to achieve their dubious ends. Part of the misperceptions is that individuals with seemingly magical powers to manipulate the unsuspecting innocent with their authoritative voice commands and penetrating eyes are depicted as hypnotists. Misperceptions about hypnosis by clinical practitioners and their clients have been shaped through years of inaccurate but interesting portrayals of hypnosis in books, plays, and movies. It is commonly assumed that during hypnosis, the subconscious mind is in a suggestible state while the conscious mind is distracted or guided to become dormant. In a trance, the normal state of the mind occurs regularly as when watching an engrossing movie, reading an absorbing book, or performing monotonous activity thus hypnosis is also described as an “attentive, receptive focal concentration”. It can as well assist in managing physical problems like pain reduction, such as the pain caused by chemotherapy in cancer patients. During hypnosis, suggestions are used to cure a lot of psychological health problems, such as stress, addiction, and phobia. It is a trance mental state that is later followed by giving suggestion. It is either established by compliance with instructions or achieved naturally the critical nature of the mind is bypassed during hypnosis and acceptable suggestions are delivered. Hypnosis is a state of mind that is characterized by focused attention and heightened receptivity for suggestions. The origin of “hypnosis” is from the Greek word “hypnos,” which means “sleep”. ![]() ![]() Hypnotherapy conducted by a trained therapist is considered as a complementary or safe alternative to present day orthodox medication for numerous ailments. Despite the pejorative image display of hypnosis and misconceptions surrounding it, hypnosis still has numerous applications in contemporary medicine. The radio transmission frequency is also said to have been changed "to comply with federal and state spectrum management regulations", as said in the update. On March 1, 2010, Portal was updated as part of the ARG to have a total of 26 radios (including the ones already present before the update) playing in the Test Chambers, always in an area more or less difficult to reach (but given to the player by the music playing), and with a red sprite added to the switch. The 85.2 MHz frequency is used in the United Arab Emirates for a "positive vibes, and relaxation sounds station".Furthermore, only odd frequencies are valid-not even. The frequencies set before 88.1 are reserved for the commercial broadcast televisions. In the USA, the 85.2 MHz frequency actually does not exist as a FM radio frequency, as the latter does not start before 88.1 MHz.The "Transmission Received" Achievement logo. However, repeatedly dropping a Weighted Storage Cube on it will not do anything. In Portal: First Slice, if you carry the radio from the Relaxation Vault into the room with the button using the Gravity Gun, (obtained using the command "impulse 101") & use the primary fire to shoot the radio into the air, if it hits a wall or the floor, the music will stop.Shooting it makes it bleed, because the game renders it as a entity. It is responsible for all the sounds played in the parking lot. In Portal 1 in the last level, there's a radio in the parking lot.Catching the radio without hitting it too much is possible through creative use of portals. If the radio hits a wall too hard or a Weighted Storage Cube is dropped on it, the music will stop, although the radio itself remains functional. However, a functional radio drops from a Vital Testing Apparatus Vent in Test Chamber 06 in Chapter 2 still plays "Still Alive", provided it is caught properly.Additionally, the radios found in the ARG do not appear in the old chambers. The radio found in the ruins of the Portal relaxation vault in Portal 2 does not play " Still Alive".Finding this easter egg will activate the achievement entitled "Final Transmission". When decoded it shows a picture of the companion cube on the surface of the Moon. Again in Portal 2, a radio can be found falling from a Vital Apparatus Vent, which will play another hidden SSTV image when taken to one of Rattman's dens within that chamber. This radio still has the same frequency as the others. In Portal 2, a radio can be found one of Rattman's dens, playing " Exile Vilify" by The National, with a mural containing odd lyrics painted on the wall behind it. Radios are destroyed when taken through Emancipation Grills, however after the Portal ARG update they will instead emit another sound. ![]() However, when some of them are played through an SSTV decoder, the sounds reveal images, with letters and numbers, which lead to a now defunct BBS server (see the Portal ARG article for more details). Since the Portal ARG update, when moved to specific locations within the test chamber where they are found, they will play seemingly random sounds consisting of noises and beeps, and the light turns green. They also initially have a red light on them. When they are initially found in test chambers in Portal, the radios are set to the frequency 85.2 FM, and play an instrumental version of " Still Alive". ![]() ![]() Let’s make a change similar to what we did before to our main.py.
